{"id":597,"date":"2017-11-27T06:08:19","date_gmt":"2017-11-27T06:08:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/orbis-blog.com\/?p=597"},"modified":"2020-12-02T11:50:49","modified_gmt":"2020-12-02T11:50:49","slug":"thailand-labor-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/orbis-alliance.com\/fr\/orbis-news\/thailand-labor-law","title":{"rendered":"Thailand Labor Law: Compulsory Working Regulations for Companies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to the Employment Protection Act, any Employer that hires 10 or more people must have Working Regulations duly written in Thai language and displayed in a noticeable area at the workplace. A copy of such Working Regulations must be also submitted to the Director-General of Department of Labor Protection and Welfare for acknowledgment, review and consequent approval.<\/p>\n<p>These Regulations shall, at least, provide conditions for the following items:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working days, regular working hours and break periods,<\/li>\n<li>Holidays and rules related to holidays,<\/li>\n<li>Conditions regarding overtime work and holiday work,<\/li>\n<li>Conditions regarding Pay: payment for basic pay, overtime work pay, holiday work pay,<\/li>\n<li>Leaves and rules related to Leaves,<\/li>\n<li>Discipline, code of conduct and punishments,<\/li>\n<li>Submission of complaints,<\/li>\n<li>Conditions on termination of employment and severance pay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An Employer with 10 or more Employees must also keep and maintain a Register of Employees containing at least the following Employees\u2019 information:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full name,<\/li>\n<li>Date of birth,<\/li>\n<li>Gender,<\/li>\n<li>Nationality,<\/li>\n<li>Present address,<\/li>\n<li>Date of commencement of employment,<\/li>\n<li>Basic Pay and other remuneration (if any).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any Employer that violates or fails to comply with the above-mentioned provisions may be sentenced to a fine not exceeding THB 20,000.<\/p>\n<p><em>By Alexandre DUPONT, Orbis partner.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to the Employment Protection Act, any Employer that hires 10 or more people must have Working Regulations duly written in Thai language and displayed in a noticeable area at the workplace.
